Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.
Last updated 18 October 2026
The short version
We collect only what we need to run your account and produce your books. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your books to train models.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, the display name you choose, and a securely hashed password.
- Your content: the book projects you create, including titles, descriptions, chapter text and cover choices, so they are there when you sign back in.
- Purchase records: which package your account holds, when it was bought, and the order reference from Paddle. We do not receive your card number.
- Technical data: the minimum needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure.
Why we hold it
To give you an account, to save and export your books, to unlock the package you bought, to answer your support questions, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Payments and card data
Card details are entered directly with Paddle, our merchant of record, and never reach our servers. Paddle handles your payment, tax and invoicing, and its own privacy notice applies to that processing.
Who processes data for us
We keep the list of processors short: Paddle for payments, invoicing and tax, and Supabase for secure storage of accounts and book content. Both are bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
Cookies and local storage
We do not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The app stores a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in between visits, and that is all.
How long we keep it
Account and book data are kept while your account exists. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. When you delete your account, your book content and account details are removed, and only the purchase records we are legally obliged to keep remain.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it. Email djalal00@gmail.com and we will action the request. If you are in the EEA or the UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Traffic to the app is encrypted, accounts are protected by passwords stored only as hashes, and access to your books is restricted to your own account at the database level.
